A) Direct shuttle bus Bari Airport – Matera

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes – 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop in Matera: Piazza Matteotti or Piazza Vittorio Veneto (city center)

How it works:

Buses park directly outside the arrivals terminal.
Buy the ticket online or from the driver, if applicable (cash or card).
The bus drops you off in the center of Matera, a 5-10 minute walk from the Residences.

B) Train from Bari Airport

From the airport, take the Trenitalia train for Bari Centrale (12 minutes, €5, frequency every 30 minutes).
In Bari Centrale, move to the adjacent FAL station (about 100 meters on foot).
Take the FAL train to Matera (1h 30min, €5-7).
From Matera station, taxi or bus to the center (about 10 minutes, €10-15).

Total duration: approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (including waiting times and connections).

Advised: if you want to save money and are not in a hurry, or if the direct bus has no available trips.

C) Taxi / Private transfer

Duration: about 1 hour door to door
Cost: €80-120 and more (fixed rate to be agreed)
